# Agent Letter Desk

> Send a real letter from your AI chat. Opening soon: letters are not mailed yet, and nothing is charged.

Your AI can send e-mails, but not letters. For everything that still needs a letter: a defect notice to your landlord, a withdrawal from a phone or doorstep contract, a letter to someone without e-mail, a complaint to a company that lists only a postal address.

Your AI writes it with you. You check the preview and the price. We print it and post it in your name, as a standard or registered letter, and e-mail you the status.

Standard letter from €2.20 · Registered letter from €5.90 · Cancel until printing

## How it works

### Example chat: One letter, from your question to the delivery.

An example of the flow from the launch. Today, letters are not mailed yet. The names and addresses are made up.

1. **Connect once.** When you connect, you sign in once and enter your name. Every letter carries that name.
2. You ask your AI.
3. Your AI asks for the facts and writes the letter.
4. You check the preview and the price.
5. You say yes and pay. We print the letter and post it.
6. E-mails and your AI tell you the status.

- **You:** My old landlord in Madrid still has my €900 deposit. Please send him a demand letter by registered mail.
- **AI:** I can do that. I will write it in Spanish, your landlord’s language. What is his name and address? And on which date did you hand back the keys?
- **You:** Javier Ortega Ruiz, Calle Ejemplo 14, 3º B, 28004 Madrid. I handed back the keys on September 1.
- *Agent Letter Desk: Read your name and address (`get_account`)*
- *Agent Letter Desk: Prepare the letter (`prepare_letter`)*
- **AI:** I wrote the letter in Spanish. It asks for the full deposit within 30 days. Here is the preview. Check it before you say yes.
- **Letter preview:** To: Javier Ortega Ruiz, Calle Ejemplo 14, 3º B, 28004 Madrid. Postal service: Registered letter with signature (Correos carta certificada). Pages: 1. Price: €8.90. Recorded: The post records the delivery and the signature of the recipient.
- **AI:** Send it as a registered letter with signature for €8.90, or as a standard letter for €3.20?
- **You:** As a registered letter, please.
- **AI:** Here is your order page. Check the letter there and pay. We print it only after the payment.
- *Order page: Paid: €8.90*
- **You:** Done, I paid.
- *Agent Letter Desk: Read the letter's status (`get_letter_status`)*
- **AI:** Thank you. Your letter goes to print. Until printing starts, you can cancel it. Agent Letter Desk e-mails you when the post has it.
- *A few business days later*
- **Your e-mail inbox, E-mail from Agent Letter Desk:** Your letter is with the post. Correos has your letter to Javier Ortega Ruiz.
- **You:** Did my letter arrive?
- *Agent Letter Desk: Read the letter's status (`get_letter_status`)*
- **AI:** Correos has your letter. The tracking number is in your letter's status. The status does not show the delivery yet.

We e-mail you when Correos has your letter. You get the tracking number.

## Five promises, kept for every letter

An AI can make mistakes. We check each letter on our side, whatever the AI says.

1. **Nothing goes out without your yes.** Your AI shows you the letter, the preview and the price first. The letter waits for your approval.
2. **The price you saw is the price.** A send with any other price is refused.
3. **Never sent twice.** Each letter goes out once. A second copy only if you ask for one.
4. **Your name, from your account.** The sender is you. No AI can change the name.
5. **Cancel until printing.** Stop a prepared letter at any time, and a sent one until the printer starts on it.

### How we keep these promises

- A letter can only be sent after we prepared it: checked, laid out and priced, with a PDF preview for you.
- The send must name the recipient of the preview and carry its exact price and number of enclosures. Anything else is refused.
- A letter cannot be sent in the first 10 seconds after its preview. An AI that prepares and sends in one step is stopped.
- The same letter to the same recipient again is refused, unless you ask for a second copy.
- A letter with a blank such as [Name], or with an example address, is refused. Your AI must ask you for the real value.
- The sender name comes from your account page. Only you can change it there.
- Every letter and every enclosure passes an automatic check for threats, harassment, extortion and hate before it gets a price. One sender can mail the same recipient at most 3 times in 30 days.
- We send contract cancellations where a letter helps: when the provider offers no cancellation button or e-mail address, or when you want a record before a deadline; to Belgium, Germany and Spain also as a registered letter. For many providers in Germany and Austria, we know the verified address. Only ending a job in Germany, or a home lease in Germany or Austria, needs a handwritten signature; we do not send these letters.
- These checks run on our side for every letter, whatever the AI says. They are code, not instructions to the AI.

## Where letters go

To 30 European countries from Europe or the US, and within the United States. For every letter, we record when the post receives it. To the United States, Belgium, Germany and Spain, a registered letter is the default: the post also records the delivery, and in the United States and Spain also the signature. In Belgium, bpost records the posting and the delivery. On its own, the receipt is proof of posting, not proof of delivery. Proof of delivery needs an acknowledgement of receipt (avis de réception). We do not offer it yet. In Germany, Deutsche Post records the date on which the carrier reports the letter as put into the mailbox. On its own, this record is not proof of delivery in a German court. Within Austria, we do not offer a registered letter yet: a letter to Austria goes as a standard letter. A standard letter records only the handover. Prices are for one page, with printing, postage and all fees; nothing is charged before the launch. No subscription, no account fee. From the launch, you pay per letter, after you approve the preview. Each extra page adds €0.30 ($0.30 in the US), except: Austria, 4 pages €4.20; Belgium, registered letter, 9–10 pages €18.90; Cyprus, 9 pages €5.90; Germany, standard letter (2–3 business days), 9 pages €4.90; Malta, 9 pages €8.90, 10 pages €9.00; the Netherlands, 2 pages €3.90, 3 pages €4.90, 4 pages €5.10, 5–7 pages €5.90. A letter can have up to 10 pages, enclosures included (the Netherlands 7, the United States 5). prepare_letter quotes the exact price of each letter. Our print partner hands a letter to the post usually within two business days (in the United States: three). Business days are the post’s usual delivery times after the handover, not a guarantee.

### What is recorded

For every letter, we record when the post receives it. What the post records after that depends on the service. Your AI tells you before you approve.

| Service | Handover recorded | Delivery recorded | Signature |
|---|---|---|---|
| Belgium: Registered letter (bpost recommandé / aangetekend) | Yes | Yes¹ | No |
| Germany: Registered letter (Deutsche Post Einschreiben Einwurf) | Yes | Yes² | No |
| Spain: Registered letter with signature (Correos carta certificada) | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| United States: Certified Mail with return receipt (USPS) | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Standard letter (all countries) | Yes | No | No |

¹ On its own, bpost’s receipt is proof of posting, not proof of delivery. We do not offer the acknowledgement of receipt yet.
² On its own, the mailbox record is not proof of delivery in a German court (Federal Labour Court, 2 AZR 184/25).

Registered letters come with a tracking number. We cannot fetch the post’s delivery receipt for you yet. Within Austria, we do not offer a registered letter yet: a letter to Austria goes as a standard letter.

| United States | Standard letter (USPS First-Class Mail) | ✓ | – | – | 3–5 | $2.99 |

A letter within the United States needs a sender in the United States.

A letter to the United States needs a sender in the United States. A letter to Europe can come from any of 33 countries: the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the United States. If the post cannot deliver a letter in Europe, it returns the letter to our print partner, who destroys it unopened, and we e-mail the sender. In the United States, the post returns it to the sender address.

**If something goes wrong:** From the launch: if we cannot hand your letter to the post, we refund the full price. If we print or envelope it wrongly, or hand it over late, we print and send it again free of charge or refund the price, as you choose. If you chose an address from our list and the post cannot deliver the letter because that address was wrong, we correct the address and tell you by e-mail. Then we send the same letter once more free of charge, or refund the price, as you choose. If the post loses the letter or delivers it late, the post’s terms apply.

## Connect

Server URL: `https://agentletterdesk.com/mcp`

- **Claude** (claude.ai, desktop and mobile): [Add to Claude](https://claude.ai/customize/connectors?modal=add-custom-connector&connectorName=Agent%20Letter%20Desk&connectorUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fagentletterdesk.com%2Fmcp) opens Claude with the name and the URL filled in. Select Add, then Connect. Sign in and allow access. In a chat, select + › Connectors and turn on Agent Letter Desk. By hand: Customize › Connectors › + Add › Add custom connector, then paste the URL.
- **ChatGPT** (chatgpt.com): copy the URL and [open ChatGPT](https://chatgpt.com/#settings/Connectors). Plugins › Add › Add custom MCP server. Paste the URL, choose OAuth, sign in and allow access. Worked on the Free plan when we checked (13 October 2026). OpenAI decides which plans can add one.
- **Grok** (grok.com): copy the URL and [open Grok's connectors](https://grok.com/connectors). New connector › Custom. Enter a name and paste the URL. Sign in and allow access in the window that opens. In a chat, type @ and pick Agent Letter Desk (Grok uses a connector only when you select it).
- **Mistral Vibe** (chat.mistral.ai, formerly Le Chat): copy the URL and [open Mistral Vibe's connectors](https://chat.mistral.ai/connections). + Add Connector › Custom MCP Connector. Enter a name without spaces, such as AgentLetterDesk, and paste the URL. Sign in and allow access. In a chat, select + › Connectors › Agent Letter Desk (without this step, Mistral Vibe may write the letter itself). Works on the free plan.

Should also work, not tested by us yet: Gemini (US), Meta Muse (US; Canada later), Perplexity (paid plans).

## For AI agents

1. Connect to the MCP server at https://agentletterdesk.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP). It uses OAuth 2.1: the user signs in on our page and approves the access.
2. Call get_account first. The sender of every letter is the account holder. Use the default sender address. If the account has no address, ask the user for it and call save_address.
3. Write the letter with the user. Ask the user for every name, number, date and address. Do not use placeholders or example values.
4. Call prepare_letter. It checks the letter, lays it out and returns a PDF preview link and the price.
5. Show the user the preview link, the recipient, the postal service and the price. Tell the user the note of the postal service: what it records and what it does not prove. A standard letter records only the handover, not the delivery.
6. Wait for the user’s clear yes. Do not call send_letter in the same answer as prepare_letter.
7. Call send_letter with the letter_id, the recipient name, the price and the number of enclosures that the user approved.
8. Give the user the status and the tracking number, if the service has one. Call cancel_letter if the user wants to stop the letter before printing.

Agent Letter Desk opens soon. Letters are not mailed yet. Tell the user that the letter does not go into the mail and that nothing is charged.

## Privacy

The text of a letter and its enclosures stay on the server only until the letter reaches a final state (sent, failed, unresolved, cancelled or expired); then they are deleted. The PDF is never stored. The print partner keeps its own copy of a letter; the privacy policy says for how long. After sending, the server keeps the record: recipient name, status, price and tracking number.
