You signed a contract on the phone, at your door or online with a company in another EU country, and you changed your mind. In most cases you can withdraw within 14 days, without giving a reason (Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 9). Your AI writes the withdrawal with you, in the company's language. We mail it in your name.
What we send: a registered letter to Spain (€8.90), Germany or Belgium, where the post records the delivery; a standard letter to any EU country, from €2.20, which records only the handover to the post. Your AI shows the exact price before you say yes.
Why a letter, not e-mail
- You must be able to show it. The burden of proof for the withdrawal is on you (Art. 11(4)). A letter with a date of posting, and a delivery record where the post keeps one, helps when the company says nothing arrived.
- Sending in time is enough. The deadline is met when you send the withdrawal before the 14 days end (Art. 11(2)). We record the day the post receives your letter.
- Phone and doorstep contracts have no button. Online shops must offer a withdrawal function from 19 June 2026 (Directive (EU) 2023/2673). Where the company offers it, use it; a letter is for the other cases.

On [date] I signed a contract on the phone with [company] in [country] for [what]. Write a withdrawal in the company's language, based on the EU model withdrawal form. Use the address from the contract confirmation. Then mail it, as a registered letter if you can.
Your AI asks for the names, dates, numbers and the address. It writes the letter with you; it does not invent facts or deadlines.
Good to know
- The 14 days usually start with the contract for services, and with the delivery for goods. If the company did not tell you about the right of withdrawal, the period can be longer.
- Some contracts have no right of withdrawal, for example goods made to your specifications.
- The EU model withdrawal form (Annex I B) is a good basis; any clear statement also counts (Art. 11(1)).
FAQ
What does a registered letter record?
It depends on the country. In Germany and Belgium, the post's record alone is not proof of delivery in court. See what a registered letter proves.
Does the letter carry my signature?
No. It carries your name in print. A withdrawal needs no signature under the directive.
Can you tell me if I can still withdraw?
No. We give no legal advice and do not check your case. The European Consumer Centre in your country helps for free with disputes across borders.
